How we handle personal data — both on this website and in the Sparaa platform.

Who is responsible
Sparaa is operated by Felix Wicksell, who is the data controller. Contact for all matters concerning personal data: felix@sparaa.com. We respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest.
The business is in the process of becoming a limited company. Once that is complete, the details here will be updated with the company name and registration number, and you'll be informed as described under changes below.
We have two different roles depending on the context, and it affects what we're responsible for.
- On the website we are the data controller. We decide ourselves why and how visitor data is processed.
- In the platform we are a data processor for the data you enter. You decide, we execute. This is governed by a separate data processing agreement signed before you start using the service.
Part 1 — When you visit the website

The savings calculation on the home page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored anywhere, unless you choose to provide your email address afterwards.
Legal basis
For contact and material you requested: legitimate interest in being able to respond and deliver what you asked for, alternatively consent. For statistics and marketing: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie settings.
Cookies
We use cookies to make the website work, for visit statistics and for marketing. No cookies beyond the strictly necessary are activated before you consent. You can change your choice at any time. Detailed information is in our cookie policy.
Part 2 — When you use the platform
What is processed
In the platform we process the data you enter yourself, or that is retrieved from systems you've connected. That is:
- Account details for your users: name, email address and job title.
- Information about your supplier contracts: supplier, cost, terms, dates.
- Contact persons appearing in uploaded contract documents.
We never process salary data, tax data, health data or other sensitive personal data. If you connect your finance system we read only recurring supplier payments — other transactions are filtered out before they reach our database and are never stored with us.
AI analysis of contracts
When you upload a contract, the text is analysed automatically to extract supplier, amount, dates and terms. The analysis is performed by Anthropic on our behalf. The content is processed only to carry out the analysis, is not used to train models, and is not retained by Anthropic after the analysis is complete.
For how long
For as long as you are a customer. When the agreement ends you have thirty days to export everything. After that, personal data and identifiable data are deleted, including uploaded documents.
We then retain anonymised and aggregated information about price levels and contract terms, which we use to build our comparison data. That information contains no personal data and cannot be linked to you. If you'd like it excluded as well, just tell us.
Records we are required to retain under Swedish accounting law are kept for the period the law requires.
Where data is stored
Our database is hosted by Supabase in the region eu-north-1, located in Stockholm. Your data is therefore stored in Sweden.
Some of our suppliers may process data in other countries within the EU and EEA. Where a transfer to a country outside the EU and EEA occurs, it is made under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses together with the supplementary safeguards required.
Who we share data with
We never sell personal data and don't share it for others' marketing. We do, however, engage suppliers that process data on our behalf:

Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to object to processing, to request restriction, and to receive your data in a machine-readable format. Where processing has been based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

If you are not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, imy.se.
